What's the Buzz in Chicago?

Alvin So

Erick Alvarez

David Dietrich

  • This project was done in order to study the biodiversity of insects around Chicagoland area.

  • Citizens are able to help and contribute to this by downloading Epicollect+ Beta and connecting to the project “Bug Biodiversity 2015”. They would follow the steps in Bug Biodiversity to store the data and then finally update the data.

Purpose

  • This project focuses on the Chicagoland area and others are advised to only record data in the same area.

Location

  • Many projects were done last year at the Nature Museum relating to bugs, but no projects were yet done about the whole different species of bugs in Chicago. This project is here to change that and to document the different species of bugs within Chicago. This project sought out to find the biodiversity of bugs in order to find the environmental health as well find new species of bugs. In order to maximize the most data possible, others are encouraged to help out by downloading Epicollect+ Beta and to participate in collecting data.
